Granbury's First Annual Golden Spoon Cookie Contest

Written by Thrive POS | Fri, Nov 28, 2014 @ 03:30 PM

At Granbury Solutions, we take our baked goods very seriously. This year at our Grapevine office we held the first annual Golden Spoon Cookie Contest and the results were...delicious. With 11 yummy entries, our judges had a hard time picking just one winner.

After very careful consideration and tasting, then some more tasting, the judges deliberated and chose a caramel spice cookie as the winning confection. With everything from peanut butter to red velvet crinkle cookies, the judges definitely had their work cut out for them.

We just could not keep the winning recipe to ourselves, so here is a guide to making your own Golden Spoon worthy caramel spice cookies!

You will need:

1 Box of Duncan Hines Spice Cake Mix

1 Egg

1 regular size tub of cool whip

½ cup finely chopped pecans

½ bag Kraft Caramel Bits

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  • Mix all ingredients well with super sturdy spoon.

  • Use 2 regular spoons to drop a 2 inch blob into powdered sugar and roll into a ball.

  • Bake in 350 oven for 12 minutes.  12 to a pan.

  • Let cool on pan for 3-4 minutes before moving to a cooling surface

  • Let them cool completely before storing in a sealed container
